My cousin was a vegetarian when we were teenagers. I thought this was really cool and alternative. So I became vegetarian. Not for any other reasons, but just because I wanted to be cool and alternative like my cousin.

But my mum didn't want to cook for me. “Now you have to cook your own meals," she said. So I learned how to make risotto, and became an expert.

Seventeen years later, I am still vegetarian. Risotto is my signature dish.
